Privacy policy

Saga helps small businesses create content in their own brand and voice. Saga is operated by Lumo World Pty Ltd (ABN 56 682 809 427) (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988, South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and, where it applies, the EU and UK GDPR.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and, if you choose to sign in with Google or Microsoft, the basic profile details those services share (name, email and profile picture). If you use a password, it is stored only in hashed form.
- Business details: your business name, country, brand colours and logo, offers, prices, customer information you choose to add, and your content settings.
- Voice and writing samples: recordings, transcripts and writing you or your team provide so Saga can learn how you write and speak.
- Content: the posts, newsletters, images and videos Saga creates for you, your edits and your approvals.
- Voice and likeness (optional): if a person chooses to create an AI voice or avatar, we collect their recorded consent and the samples needed to create it. Only the person themselves can give this consent, and they can withdraw it at any time.
- Connected accounts: if you connect social media or email tools, we store the access those services grant so Saga can publish or send content you have approved.
- Billing: payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and your plan, but not your full card number.
- Usage and device information: basic technical information such as log records needed to keep Saga secure and working.
How we use it
- To provide Saga: learning your brand and voice, creating content, and delivering it for your approval.
- To publish or send content only after you have approved it, or where you have turned on automatic approval.
- To manage your account, trial and billing, and to contact you about your account.
- To keep Saga safe, prevent misuse, and meet our legal obligations.
- To improve Saga for you. We do not sell your personal information.
AI processing
Saga uses AI services to analyse your samples and create content. Your information is sent to these providers only to deliver the service to you. We use providers whose terms do not allow them to use your business’s data to train their general models.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers who help us run Saga, for example hosting and database services, AI model providers, payment processing (Stripe), email and messaging delivery, and the social and email platforms you choose to connect. They may only use it to provide their services to us. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Where your information is stored
Saga’s database is hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). Some service providers may process information in other countries, including the United States. When information leaves Australia or South Africa, we take reasonable steps to make sure it is protected to a standard comparable to the Australian Privacy Principles and POPIA.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or de-identify your business’s information within 90 days, unless we need to keep some records (for example, billing records) to meet legal obligations. Voice and likeness models are deleted as soon as consent is withdrawn.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or object to how we use it, by emailing tanya@tanyajackman.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and in any case within the time the law requires. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au), South Africa’s Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za), or your local data protection authority.
Cookies
Saga uses only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and keep your account secure. We do not use advertising cookies.
Security
Each business’s information is kept separate from every other business’s, access is limited to the people you invite, and information is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your sign-in details private.
Children
Saga is for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will let you know by email or in Saga before they take effect.
